Ocular metastasis from seminoma.

چکیده
Case Report A man aged 78 had noticed a swelling of the left testicle in August, 1958. Within 6 weeks an orchidectomy was performed. The testicle showed a necrotic growth and there were malignant nodules in the spermatic cord. A histological section was reported as being composed of large spheroidal cells intermingled with lymphocytes typical of a seminoma (Fig. 1). In September, 1958, a swelling was found in the left groin. This was treated by a single application of high-voltage x rays and in one month the swelling had disappeared.

Spinal cord metastasis from testicular seminoma detected by F-18 FDG PET/CT study prior to neurological symptoms: An unusual presentation
A 60-year-old patient with testicular seminoma was referred for F-18 FDG PET/CT Study to evaluate recurrence. In addition to hypermetabolic cervical, mediastinal and hilar lymph node tumoral metastases, segmental intense FDG uptake along the lumbar spinal cord suggestive of tumoral metastasis was noted which quite an unusual presentation is. At the time of PET study the patient was symptomless...
متن کاملSeminoma of undescended testis with urinary bladder metastasis: A case report with review of literature
Cryptorchidism is the most common predisposing factor in the development of testicular germ cell tumors. Seminoma is the most common malignancy developing in a cryptorchid testis, usually has lymphatic but rarely hematogenous metastasis. The Urinary Bladder is an extremely rare site of metastasis of seminoma metastasis. A 29-year-old male patient presented to us with a history of infertility an...
متن کاملIsolated Femoral Muscle and Bone Metastases Rarely Encountered in Testicular Seminoma
Isolated muscle and bone metastases are rarely encountered in patients with testicular seminomas. In the present study, a patient who was admitted with pain, loss of motion, and swelling in the right leg 20 months following surgery for stage I seminoma was presented. Hypermetabolic lesion was detected in the right femoral muscle and bone via positron emission tomography. After the presence of m...
متن کاملParaneoplastic Dermatomyositis Associated with Metastatic Seminoma
We report the first case in Japan of paraneoplastic dermatomyositis with pure seminoma, a tumor that extremely rarely accompanies dermatomyositis. The patient presented to the hospital with muscle weakness and erythema and was diagnosed with dermatomyositis from skin biopsy. Routine radiological screening revealed testicular tumor and massive lymph node metastases. We initially performed orchie...
متن کاملRetroperitoneal schwannoma mimicking lymph node metastasis of seminoma.
We report a case of retroperitoneal schwannoma mimicking lymph node metastasis. A 32-year-old man presented with an intrascrotal mass, and underwent radical orchiectomy. Histological examination revealed a typical seminoma of the testis. Systemic work-up for staging demonstrated a retroperitoneal mass, which was located in the supra-hilar inter-aortocaval region. Under the diagnosis of retroper...
